This morning when the alarm went off, it was one of those days I just didn't want to get out of bed. I laid there for a few minutes and I thought, I'll watch the news for a few minutes before I wake Madison up. What a surprise...as soon as I turned it on I saw that Cabell County was closed for the day! I couldn't fall back to sleep but I took advantage of it and enjoyed watching the news in bed and letting Madison sleep in a little bit. Usually she has ESP and gets up super early when there's no school but today she slept in a little bit...around 7:45 or so she got up with a great big grin on her face because she had seen the snow.
Madison's best friend, Morgan, spent the day with us and we enjoyed her company! We met Corey for lunch at Chick-Fil-A and the girls enjoyed playing in the play place. Then we headed to the mall and I let them pick out "Best Friend" necklaces. They've wanted to get them for a long time, so we did.
When we made it back home, they decided to get their snow suits on and play outside. They enjoyed having a snowball fight and the UPS driver even let them throw a snowball at his truck. They had a contest to see who could make the biggest snow ball...and they tied. They ended up making a snowman out of there GIANT snowballs and it turned out really cute!
After Madison and Morgan's noses turned bright red, I thought it was time to come inside and warm up a little bit. They enjoyed having hot chocolate with marshmellows. Then it was time for the battle of the Wii. They enjoyed playing bowling, baseball, boxing and of course the famous Mario Cart.
All in all we had a great snow day and I enjoyed spending my day with both Madison and Morgan!
