MERRY CHRISTMAS

First I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! It's been over a week since my last blog and thats for several reasons...the main reason is, our puppy Biscuit is in the lovely chewing stage and chewed up my download cable to my camera. Second reason is because our family has been extremely busy with the holidays and I haven't had much spare time to actually sit down and blog. We had a wonderful Christmas spent with friends and family! I think, besides celebrating the birth of Christ, family time is the most important part of Christmas! Our Christmas began with Madison making gingerbread houses with some very close friends of our (the Walkers) and she had a great time doing that. I'm so thankful for my best friend Gregg Ellyn and the time spent together is always fun! We also enjoyed visiting Santa and seeing the live Nativity scene in Barboursville that night.

Santa came early to our house this year and brought lots of toys and goodies. We had so much fun waking up at 5:00 AM Christmas Eve morning (yes, I said 5:00 AM) to see what Santa brought for everyone. The excitement of children is precious and the ohhhs and ahhhs were great! We were able to enjoy some great family time with Corey's parents, his sister and her family, and Corey's nephew all day and play with toys together. Then we headed to his grandmother Ford's house and had dinner and more fun with family. By the end of the evening we were all very tired and ready for bed! Christmas morning we went to Corey's parents house and had a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed opening more gifts with the Hager's. Marcia (Corey's mom) got me the best gift ever and I almost cried...she got me the complete Nativity made by Willow Tree and it is absolutely beautiful. I think I might just keep it up all year! I've always wanted a Nativity and now I finally have one. (THANK YOU!!!)

Overall, everyone had a great Christmas and enjoyed being together as a family! The kids are happy with their special gifts and now we just have to find room to put them! I hope you enjoy the slide show of our Christmas. Good night and Merry Christmas!
